In my writing, I am currently focusing on writing a memoir about my experience as a stepmother and a psychologist interacting over almost 40 years with my mentally ill and substance abusing stepson, who is now sober and struggling to find a new life for himself. Over the course of that relationship we have both encountered many challenges, both personally and in our interaction with each other. I have changed from a naive, childfree adult to a more empathic person. My story includes his story.
